CUYLER & GIOVANNI ARE HOSPITALIZED AND NEED YOUR HELP

CUYLER is a male neutered rabbit who arrived Monday with traumatic injury to his left eye caused by a fight with another rabbit. His upper eyelid nearly completely torn off, and his left globe lacerated. The severity of injuries resulted in necessary eye removal surgery performed on Cuyler same day. Cuyler spiked a fever today  - (Tuesday) - so he remains hospitalized to get his fever down. Cuyler is otherwise doing well, but is expected to be on antibiotics and pain medication for several days.
GIOVANNI is a young, intact male rabbit presented Monday for a second opinion of his heart murmur; the severity of which unfortunately renders him too high-risk to undergo the anesthesia necessary for neuter surgery. Giovanni likely has a congenital heart defect which results in a shortened lifespan for him. He's possibly far more sensitive to stress or trauma than a rabbit with a normal heart. Going forward, will re-check Giovani to monitor any changes, but he will most likely need to be left intact - (un-neutered), and reside in a loving home as an only bunny helped to live out his single bun life aided by lots of human love and attention.
>>>In the urgent meantime, we're desperately asking the community to donate ANY amount via PayPal to info@bunnyworldfoundation.org to HELP WITH A $3,000 VET BILL.
-OR http://www.bunnyworldfoundation.org/donate/
-OR Facebook donate option
-OR directly to the vet - Northwood Animal Hospital (949-559-1992) - accepting call-in aid of $100 or more on behalf of BWF).
There are so many more poignant BWF rescue stories yet untold here for lack of time to tell them, but little Cuyler & Giovanni have no time to spare and deserve priority.
Lastly, we’re looking for permanent homes for both Cuyler and Giovanni, and are hoping for a big-hearted someone wishing to TRULY care for these boys.  Cuyler can be paired with a bunny girl, but Giovanni must unfortunately remain a solo bun for now.
If no one steps-up willing to be their furever human THIS SUNDAY, then we're BEGGING for a foster who can care for them until permanent homes are found.  There's hope that Giovanni’s heart murmur will miraculously disappear, and allow him too a bunny wife all his own to love, cherish and care for till death do they part. Keep your paws crossed. . .
Thank you in advance for anything you can do for these little ones.

URSULA & SHILOH NEED YOUR HELP!

Once upon a time in Los Feliz, CA, there lived two bunnies in a Preschool backyard... in a hutch :'( -- NOT happily ever after! Their names were Bunny Rabbit, (the Silver Marten, now named Ursula), and Shiloh, a Lionhead. Shiloh was very young, but Ursula was said to be a 12 year-old. Their May-December age gap mattered not at all, as their love for each other was profoundly deep.
One day, Bunny World Foundation received a call from someone representing the Preschool inquiring about an affordable place to euthanize Ursula due to her mite infestation and “abscess that has caused dramatic skin peeling.”
We did not simply provide that grim information, but instead dug deeper into the story; trying very hard NOT to lose them by immediately schooling - “hutch is not enough” “no bunnies outside” “no bunnies as classroom pets,” etc.. Education will be passed on, but first things first.
The Preschool's messenger, though uninformed about proper rabbit care, was truly concerned, compassionate, and willing. Thank Bunny God that both bunnies were spayed/neutered; medical records forwarded to BWF from their local vet. Struggling financially, the Preschool couldn't afford expensive medical care for the pair's lingering ailments. She sent the pictures and the videos of the bunnies and their “accommodations.” The rest is history.
Upon witnessing the sadness of Shiloh and Bunny Ursula’s living conditions, we had no choice but to help. The school agreed to surrender both bunnies and vowed NOT to get new ones. Shiloh was not to be left alone in that dwelling. They even drove Bunny Rabbit (Ursula) to our Irvine Animal Hospital who wholeheartedly took on the project.
Both bunnies received Revolution flea/mite treatment, taking care of those parasites. Ursula was hospitalized there for over a month; her abscess removed, her molars trimmed and extracted. *Knock on wood*, she’s been doing great a month post-surgery, thanks to the bunderful skills of Northwood Animals Hospital's Dr. Roberts!
So -- $4,000+ later, the bunnies are back together and up for adoption! Don’t worry, we’re not asking potential adopters to pay $4k in adoption fees. We ARE, however, hoping for a big-hearted someone wishing to TRULY care for this mature dear ladybun and her young husbun. Ursula bunny is a strong, kind, and loving lady. We're in AWE at how much suffering she endured for so long with all that pus swelling in her mouth, and we're hoping her healing also brings her long-awaited happily-ever-after, pain-free life at last!
If no one steps up willing to be their furever human THIS SUNDAY, then we're BEGGING for a foster who can care for them until a permanent home is found.
>>>In the urgent meantime, we're desperately asking the community to donate ANY amount via PayPal to info@bunnyworldfoundation.org

There are soo many more poignant BWF rescue stories yet untold here for lack of time to tell them. But little old Ursula has no time to spare and deserves priority for all of what she and her little husbun have endured.
Thank you in advance for anything you can do for these little ones.

Will You Help Clouse?

CLOUSE’S POLYP SURGERY WAS SUCCESSFUL.  HE WAS HOSPITALIZED FOR A MONTH. NOW HE NEEDS HELP WITH HIS MEDICAL BILL & COULD USE A FOSTER OR PERMANENT HOME!
Blue-Eyed Clouse, a striking B&W Dutch boy, is EIGHT years old.  He was dumped at the high-kill shelter – North Central (LAAS) -- by his human on June 27th. To avoid the most certain euthanasia, BWF pulled him from the Medically Alerted List on July 7th. He has been hospitalized since; his balance rising each day. As of today, his bill is $1,500.
If you can help with Clouse’s Vet Bill, please go to:  http://www.bunnyworldfoundation.org/donate/
Direct donation to the vet are also welcome, but they need to be $100+.  Either way, we are grateful, and every bit helps!
As per Dr. Roberts at Northwood Animal Hospital: “Clouse was seen on July 7, for vestibular disease, with his head tilting to the left, but a large polyp involving the entire ear canal was found in the right ear. He tested positive for E. cuniculi and has been on Panacur since entry to the hospital, so he has until August 4th on Panacur. His ear surgery was done on July 12 and appears to be healing well. In addition to the Panacur once daily, he gets Ofloxacin Drops in his right ear twice daily and oral Metacam twice daily. His head tilt has improved, and he is eating and acting normally. He is able to be released anytime if you have a spot for him where someone can do his medications.”
There’s no need for Clouse to sit at the hospital any longer since he’s no longer contagious.  Also, he could really benefit from someone’s loving hands and daily massage to help with the remnant of heat tilt.
IF YOU ARE ABLE TO FOSTER CLOUSE, please e-mail us ASAP at info@bunnyworldfoundation.org and we’ll send you the Foster Application and invite you to our Adoption Event this very Sunday at PETCO Pasadena on Arroyo Parkway ( 1- 4pm). Link: https://www.facebook.com/events/216334575698825/
