Hannah Manikowski

Hannah Manikowski is a Georgia-born, nationally recognized playwright and storytelling artist who holds a BFA in Directing from the School of Drama at Carnegie Mellon University. Her work has been developed everywhere from Theatre Row in New York to Caltech in Los Angeles, and alongside everyone from Pulitzer-winning playwrights to NASA JPL scientists.

Though Hannah grew up on a horse farm, her heart has always truly belonged to “critters” - reptiles, rodents, rabbits… the true underdogs. She became a vegetarian at the age of ten, but her work in rescue didn’t begin until college, when she found a bunny abandoned in the parking lot of an apartment complex. The profound bond she shared with him propelled Hannah to connect with Rabbit Wranglers in Pittsburgh, where she served the org as a foster and adopter throughout her undergraduate career.

Upon moving to Los Angeles, Hannah connected with Bunny World. Under the guidance of Lejla, she has grown her personal rabbit family to include four bunnies, stepped in as a short-term foster home in times of crisis, graduated to a group mentor within BWF, and taken over responsibility of BWF’s social media presence. As a skilled writer and passionate bunny-lover, she’s grateful to combine her two great loves in service of BWF’s work.
