Lejla founded BWF in 2008 and has led the organization for 17 years, focusing on eradicating illegal animal sales and rescuing thousands of abandoned rabbits. She has personally saved and housed over 6,000 un-weaned baby rabbits and spearheaded the campaign that shut down illegal sales in LA’s Fashion District. An alumna of the University of Southern California (USC), Lejla holds advanced degrees in communications management, entertainment industry financing, and modern languages, and she is fluent in ten languages. With her strong background in advocacy, media, and nonprofit leadership, she brings a vision, a global perspective, and a relentless commitment to BWF’s mission.
